The NA Group

A Narcotics Anonymous group is any meeting of two or more recovering addicts who meet regularly at a specific time and place for the purpose of recovery from the disease of addiction. The group’s primary purpose, as defined by Tradition Five, is to carry the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers.

The Tampa Funcoast Area has 65 groups that host 115 meeting a week. In addition to hosting meetings, these groups stage events such as dances, picnics and retreats. The groups also take care of the day-to-day business of NA and stay in touch with other groups through the Area Service Committee.

Additional information can be found in the NA booklet The Group and the more detailed book A Guide to Local Services.
