The Tampa Funcoast Area Help Line now includes text message service. Text messaging is especially helpful for people who just want meeting information or a quick referral. Also, it is immediate and does not require an internet connection. And at some point in the digital age, texting became the preferred method of communication.
The addition of text messaging to the Help Line service began on a trial basis in December. Then, at the January meeting, the Area Service Committee approved funding to continue the service.
